Day 2 (June 7, 2014):
6:33-38 AM: Took 1 Phentermine Pill
Possible Symptoms
Dry mouth occurred after ingesting the pill but it’s 9:21 and I’ve made some fresh pressed juice and it’s disappearing, so I might be starting my day off with fresh juice form now on, which I’m happy to do because I’ve said I’ve wanted to incorporate juicing into my daily life. Other than that I’m not feeling anything, not even that slight rush I was feeling yesterday. Not alarmed about that. Resting heart rate is within normal range (between 60-100) at 73 beats per minute.
Workout
30 minute walk but today is essentially a rest day so no HIIT
Food
Breakfast – Glass of fresh juice (6 Carrots (3 Orange, 3 Purple Heirloom), Red Cabbage, 1 Lemon (peeled with as much white left as possible)
Lunch – Half a tuna sandwich
Dinner – Cinnamon Oatmeal
Water throughout the day and a glass of coconut water
As far as food, I’m hungry at times (like actual hunger, my stomach growls lol) but overall, my mind definitely doesn’t wander to food and I don’t crave sweets or unnecessary meals. I, like a lot of other people, have to keep track of when I eat though. There’s cutting calories and then there’s starving, the latter is not my bag. When I do eat, I get full on solid foods quickly. I’m definitely glad that I don’t feel the need to snack. The Phentermine, I think, puts me into a very “food is fuel” state of mind and body. I need it, I consciously know I need but for fuel and nothing more. I’m on a very serious journey to lose as much weight as I can in June, with no slip ups that I’ll regret afterwards. The time for treats is not now.
TMI (Too much information but in this case it’s also Totally and Majorly Important)
I did have a BM today. I’ve read some comments that Phentermine can cause constipation. I already have enough trouble going on my own, I certainly don’t need any medications helping me out on that front lol. I saw a comment about it on a forum I was browsing and immediately my mind started racing in question of when was the last time I’d had a BM, but I couldn’t really remember. It hasn’t been terribly long but it has been a few days. I’m not a person that goes everyday but I do think I need to go more often. Before I seriously relaxed my diet towards the end of May, I was drinking green smoothies, which really helped me have them more frequently. When I stop though, things go back to the way they were.
Day 3 (June 8, 2014):
Weigh-In:
I’m down 2.8 pounds after two days!!! 😀 😀 GREAT PROGRESS!!! 😀 😀
6:43: Took 1 Phentermine Pill
Possible Symptoms
No symptoms. Again, no rush of energy that I was feeling on the first day. I have energy, don’t get me wrong, but I think it’s all me, not the pill. Anyway, that other energy did feel good but at the same time it was weird and I don’t think I’d like that feeling every day. It was novelty the first day and I’m sure a couple days in I would’ve continued to like it but the novelty would’ve eventually worn off and I wouldn’t have wanted that feeling anymore.
Workout
Today I’m taking it easy. Just Regular out and about walking.
Food
Breakfast – A glass of coconut water (not much but I wasn’t hungry)
Lunch – 1 Banana (11:00 AM), Motts Cinnamon Applesauce cup and then I had some steamed Cauliflower (1:34 PM)
Dinner – 3 Chicken Tenders with a little bit of ketchup and a bottle of VitaCoco Coconut Water w/ Pineapple
Water throughout the day
Day 4 (June 8, 2014):
6:50 AM: Took 1 Phentermine pill
Possible Symptoms
None
Workout
Rest Day/Dancing (Nothing serious, I just dance around my house all the time in short increments)
Food
Today is the day that I really try to get a grip on eating. As I said, I still get hungry on Phentermine, I just don’t feel the need to eat a lot of food, I don’t necessarily crave anything, and I don’t have any thoughts of snacking. Still, my body needs food. So I’m trying to still make sure I’m getting smaller meals of something. I don’t know about setting a specific number of meals, but I’m definitely trying to get something in my tummy every couple of hours. As I said in yesterday’s log, when I do eat, I only feel the need to eat small portions, so I am needing to force feed myself a bit and/or take my meal in small bites. So yesterday I ate a banana when I felt hungry but I only got through half continuously. The other half I had to take in smaller bites and their were moments where I felt like I was force feeding myself (no I don’t feel sick afterward) but I have to push through. Eventually the forced feeling went away a little, if I’m remembering correctly, but the full feeling didn’t, not that I want it to, and I had to take it in small bites. So I think it took me more than a half hour to finish the whole thing. I’ve come a long way in my relationship to food but I definitely have room to improve and I want to use this time to do so and I also don’t want to be one of those people who basically continue eating crap (although I’m a long ways away from even contemplating doing that) or not eating enough at all. I’m just trying to make sure I do this as right as possible.
Breakfast – Half a Banana (8:00 AM-9:00 AM), Half a Banana (10:28 AM I’m feeling actual hunger and no it didn’t take me a whole hour to devour this time lol),
Lunch – Scrambled Eggs & a few bites of Motts Individual Cinnamon Applesauce (12:23 PM; Easier for me to eat something now, don’t feel forced)
Dinner – Steak (baked of course) & a 10 fl oz(295 mL) bottle of OceanSpray Cran-Grape (early one at 4:51 PM)
After Dinner – 1 Banana (8:24 PM Note, this is one of those moments where I am feeling hunger and not reminding myself to eat)
Water throughout the day as always
As the day goes on, I can eat more stuff without feeling as full as quickly when I do in the morning but I can stop whenever I want and not feel hungry and I definitely don’t feel a need to stuff myself. This morning I didn’t find myself getting full as quickly as yesterday, at least not that tightness anyway. I can stop eating whenever I want and not feel hungry but yesterday morning I had this tightness that you usually only get from eating too much Thanksgiving dinner, from consuming half a banana.
Day 5 (June 9, 2014):
6:30 AM: Took 1 Phentermine (if you haven’t noticed by now, I’m averaging a wake up call of 6:30 these days lol)
Possible Symptoms
Chest is feeling tight
Workout
Tone It Up Beach Babe 2: Beach Barre workout
Food
Breakfast – 1 Banana (8:36 AM), Half a Golden Apple (9:40 AM), 1 10 fl oz(295 mL) bottle of OceanSpray Cran-Grape
Lunch – 2 Banana Smoothie (11:39 AM), Half Golden Apple, Half a Sweet Potato (2:25 PM)
I definitely have to eat or dizzy, foggy brain, sluggishness will ensue. Today I think I’m doing even better at eating more than I was the previous days. I don’t want to go overboard but I still need food. Amazingly enough I feel like I’ve eaten a lot and it’s not even a lot of food. I just don’t want to possibly wreck body by not eating anything at all and I feel off when I have no food at all.
Dinner – Steak & a little bit of Sweet Potato
Of course water throughout the day
Day 6 (June 10, 2014):
Weigh In: 153.2 LB
Symptoms
Chest is still feeling tight
Workout
None
Food
Breakfast – Motts Individual Cinnamon Applesauce Cup (8:40 AM), Half of a 2 Banana Smoothie (10:51 AM)
Lunch – Peach (1:50 PM)
Dinner – Steak & Sweet Potato (3:05 PM)
Water throughout the day
So that’s all for the first few days. Today was the last day and now I’m taking a break from it. So far I’ve lost 3 LBS in six days. I’d say that’s not shabby at all! At the same time, my chest feels really blocked so I don’t think I’ll be taking anymore.
